Positive Reflection
Reflecting helps you to develop your skills and review their effectiveness, rather than just carry on doing things as you have always done them. It is about questioning, in a positive way, what you do and why you do it and then deciding whether there is a better, or more efficient, way of doing it in the future.
I would like to say that Amal is the best thing that ever happened to me. It is something in my heart to which I will be connected always.
Before Amal Fellowship, I didn’t even think about my growth or about learning new things. After graduation, my 3 CVs got rejected from 3 different companies. Then one of my cousins named “Faisal” suggested to me that I should do Amal Fellowship which is funded by “Stanford University” and “Pepsico” so that I can learn about career prep to get my dream job.
Here the main story starts, after applying to Amal Academy, I was selected out of 6400 candidates through a long process of selection. It was one of my luckiest days to be chosen to earn a Fellowship for career prep.
I met new faces with a lot of expectations on the very first day. On that day, I got “Ma’am Zeest” and “Ma’am Arooj,” the two most beautiful mentors of my life, who shaped my life. With my new friends and my mentors, here are some memories and feelings I have:
LifeMap Activity:
I haven’t made a life map in my life before. I came to realize on that day that I’m blessed with so many things. Life is the name of ups and downs, but in life, we have had lovely moments and blessings as well.
Mock Interviews:
The second month of fellowship was full of learning month for me because I learned this month about Resume making, interview process, how to tackle questions of the interviewer, QBQs, how to sit and do dressing for an interview, how to have eye contact and how to engage the interviewer. #PASSENGER-Series.
Mega Project:
As our Mega project, we did work on Amal Book Bank. We focused on offering free books for those individuals who did not have adequate money to provide them. I am very grateful to God for giving me an opportunity, through Amal Academy, to do something for society and to spread positivity and smiles in society. It was full of learning experiences for me. I learned how to do work in a team, how to manage time, how to do self-assessment, what is the importance of leadership, etc.
Amal Values:
Amal has given us the golden principle of progress named Amal, kudhi, kaam kaam or kaam, and 1or 1 gyara. I believed that practicing these rules in our daily life will make us long-life learners having a growth mindset.
Thank you so much Amal, It's you due to which I am able to meet the best version of myself. Keep doing these incredible transformations. A special thanks to our marvelous PM (Ma’am Zeest)and PA(Ma’am Arooj) for making this journey so memorable.
